The Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar today received business zakat of RM6.45 million from Johor Corporation (JCorp).

The zakat was handed over by Johor Menteri Besar and JCorp chairman, Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin at a buka puasa event organised by the company at the Masjid Sultan Iskandar, Bandar Dato' Onn, here.

Also present was the Permaisuri of Johor Raja Zarith Sofiah Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah, Tunku Temenggong of Johor Tunku Idris Iskandar, Tunku Panglima of Johor Tunku Abdul Rahman and Tunku Putera of Johor Tunku Abu Bakar.

The Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa, Johor State Secretary Datuk Ismail Karim and members of the Johor state Exco were also present.

JCorp president and chief executive, Datuk Kamaruzzaman Abu Kassim, in his speech at the ceremony said the zakat was from 37 companies within the JCorp Group.

"The companies include Kulim (Malaysia) Bhd, QSR Brands (M) Holdings Sdn Bhd, KPJ Healthcare Bhd and Johor Land Bhd (JLand)," he added.
