The Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRB), in conjunction with the tabling of the 2017 Budget by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, is organising the National Tax Seminar 2016 from Oct 27-Nov 17 at 24 locations nationwide.

The seminar will give better insights to participants on the changes pertaining to the Income Tax Act 1967, as well as any related acts during the tabling of the 2017 Budget.

In a statement today, the IRBM said the seminar would also assist the board to produce more tax-literate taxpayers.

It urged taxpayers, tax practitioners, accountants, financial planners, company secretaries and directors, as well as those interested in taxation, business or economic matters to attend the seminar to increase, update and widen their knowledge on taxation.

Topics to be discussed during the seminar includes 2017 Budget Proposals and Penalty Mechanism and Dispute Resolution.
