Business transactions worth RM33.5 million were concluded at the Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) in Kelantan since commencing operations in October last year.

Kelantan Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob said the figure showed that the presence of the UTC in the state was on the right track and in line with the government's desire to achieve a high-income status.

"Proceeds from this transaction must also be returned to the people through various framework planned under the next Malaysia Plan," he said in his speech at the launch of UTC Kelantan by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak here, today.

Ahmad said with the various services provided at the UTC, it will save time, money and energy of the community in the state to resolve all matters at one building.

He said the establishment of the UTC worth RM37.8 million was also a recognition by the Federal Government of (Kelantan State Economic Development Corporation Plaza (PKINK) which is entrusted to fully manage the operations of the centre. - BERNAMA
