Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) will introduce the Youth Housing Scheme at the Bumiputera Housing Carnival at Taman Bunga Raya, Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi, Sepang on Aug 19 and 20.

Organised by BSN in collaboration with Sin Hee Yang Property Group, BSN is offering end-financing loan packages up to 100 per cent for properties developed by the company at the carnival which would be held from 10am to 6pm.

In a joint statement, Sin Hee Yang Property Group Executive Director Loo Chee Yang said 246 houses comprising one- and double-storey terrace and one-storey semi-detached units were up for grab.

He said luxury yet affordable properties ranging from RM328,000 to below RM500,000 from seven housing schemes were being offered to Bumiputera aged 25 to 40 years, married or single, with household income not exceeding RM10,000 per month.

"The stages of construction for these housing schemes varies from 20 per cent to 70 per cent. The sale take up rate is 30 per cent to 65 per cent depending on which scheme," he said.

Meanwhile, BSN Deputy Chief Executive of Retail Banking Frederick Siew said youths, especially first-time home buyers, faced a daunting task in purchasing properties.

"The main problem is their ability to pay the initial 10 per cent deposit. This is where our Youth Housing Scheme comes in handy as it helps the young buyers with their first property purchase," he said.
