Satellite television service provider, Astro, is confident of obtaining 90 per cent customer reach or seven million household in the next five years.
Astro Group CEO Datuk Rohana Rozhan said this in turn, will provide the company access to address approximately 30 million individuals within these households, at home and on the go.
She said after 20 years of providing its services to customers, Astro wants to continue screening a variety of contents to attract more customers.
“Stepping into the third decade, we admit that competitiveness to win customers’ time and money will be more intense especially with the digital aspects in the media industry that is constantly changing.
“Through our dual approach of pay and free business models, we are confident of reaching 90 per cent penetration or approximately seven million households in five years,” she said after launching Astro’s 20th anniversary in its headquarters in Bukit Jalil on Monday.
Rohana attributed the company’s over 20 years of success to Astro’s ability to getting to know its customers better than anyone else as well as meeting its challenges ahead.
“With the consumer and media landscape shifting rapidly, we will need to combine our creative capabilities with technological innovation, analytical skills and our strong ability to execute with entrepreneurialism and ingenuity,” said Rohana.
