The AirAsia Travel Fair (AATF) 2015 in five cities this year is expected to generate sales of between RM45 million and RM50 million with Penang playing host for the first time starting today.

AirAsia Bhd chief executive officer Aireen Omar said the two-day fair in Penang alone is likely to garner RM5 million in sales with the state itself being one of the attractive tourism destination and AirAsia's oldest hub.

"The AATF starts in Penang, and the other cities lined up are Kuala Lumpur, Johor Baharu, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching, with sales expected to hit RM45 million to RM50 million," she said after the launch the AATF in Gurney Paragon by Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and Hunza Group Executive Director Khor Tze Ming, here today.

The AATF provides 20 per cent off all seats on all AirAsia and AirAsia X flights and applicable for the travel period from June 16, 2015 until Jan 28, 2016.

Early birds to the Penang AATF would enjoy exclusive buy one free one return flight for the Kuala Lumpur-Macau sector and limited free seats for the Kuala Lumpur-Seoul route during the two-day fair.
