August 31 has been decided as the last day of employment for the 6,000 retrenched employees of Malaysian Airline System Bhd (MAS).

Nonetheless, MAS did caution those who will be exiting the company to not get influenced by certain quarters that claim to uphold their rights and getting themselves embroiled in disciplinary offences.

MAS said the dignity of its staff is of paramount importance to MAS and it reiterates its commitment to provide adequate support to assist exiting employees in their transition from a long career in MAS to mapping new career steps.
