To celebrate the 30th anniversary of its Micropacer OG running shoe with a built-in pedometer, Adidas Originals will reissue the shoe on August 16.

According to Adidas, the new shoe is a tribute to the original version, which with its metallic silver shell and color-pop outsole was an entirely new look that enjoyed outstanding popularity upon its release in 1984.

Like the lace-less predecessor, the new Micropacer OG will proudly bear its pedometer on the tongue in place of a bow.

Updated features include a softer, water resistant leather lining and exterior and a slip-resistant rubber outsole.

Completing the updates, the new version boasts an EVA midsole, made from high-quality foam that's got plenty of air for maximum shock absorption.

The sneaker is set to retail for €150 (RM640).

Meanwhile, Adidas saw success in the US this week when its Samba Primeknit rapidly sold out upon release despite a 300 USD (RM952) pricetag.
