The Terengganu crisis that began when the state's former Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Ahmad Said announced his decision to quit UMNO, has been depicted to be purely an issue of communication breakdown.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said the issue is now settled as the love of the party overcame all other issues.

"It's true that the wedding of Ahmad Said’s daughter was not notified to us. We thought that the ceremony was over on May 10, we were not told that there was another function on May 17," he said.

"This is all only communication problem. Everything has been resolved and all has been explained. Ahmad Said also said he loves UMNO too much and cannot forget UMNO," Najib told a press conference at the opening of the Auto Forum 2014 in Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) this morning.

Najib also announced that he would be attending the wedding reception of Ahmad Said's daughter this May 17.
